This position performs responsible general labor work in collection and disposal of loose leaves through city routes.

The employee in this position must have some knowledge of the tools, materials and equipment used in general labor work. Employee must possess the ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees and supervisors.
Employee must possess a working knowledge of the methods and techniques applied in general labor work. Possess a working knowledge of the standard practices, material, tools, and equipment utilized in the area of assigned work. Must work cooperatively as a team member and respond courteously to citizens.

Work in this class is described as moderately strenuous using force constantly to move objects and requiring some physical exertion to complete tasks. An employee must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, walking, standing, pushing, pulling, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. The employee is subject to both environmental conditions inside and outside. The employee is subject to hazards, frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risks of electrical shock, oils and vibration.
